Licence Renewal

Each year, all RN and NP members in Nova Scotia must renew their licence with CRNNS in order to continue practising as a nurse in Nova Scotia.

At CRNNS, our role in this process is to confirm that members meet the licensure requirements before being issued a nursing licence. We accomplish this by reviewing, processing and renewing the licences of all current, qualified members through an efficient and secure process.

In 2017, members have between July 17 and October 31 to complete the following requirements and renew their active-practising licence:

  1. Complete the licence renewal application called the Application for Licence to Practise Nursing
  2. Complete the Continuing Competence Program (CCP) requirements
  3. Pay the licence renewal fee
