One of the core services of CRNNS is the registration and licensure of individuals to ensure that those wanting to practice as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner are competent to do so. To become registered and licensed, an individual must complete an approved nursing education program, pass the national nursing registration exam and fulfill all other CRNNS registration requirements.
Here at CRNNS, we’re committed to being transparent, accountable and efficient in our registration processes so every eligible RN and NP is able to practise nursing in Nova Scotia. We pride ourselves on our customer service and in being available through email, phone or in person to discuss any registration questions or concerns you may have.
To work in Nova Scotia as an RN or NP, you must have a valid licence issued by CRNNS. There are different types of licences - and separate processes for each - depending on your status as a nurse.LICENCE INFO
